In this course, students will review and expand their understanding of chemical kinetics and thermodynamics with an emphasis on applications in the life sciences. Students will also be introduced to a variety of spectroscopic methods that are used for chemical structure determination. Students will also be introduced to a variety of spectroscopic methods that are used for chemical structure determination.<br/><strong>Note: </strong>CHEM 204 is an approved Numeracy course for Cap Core requirements. CHEM 204 is an approved Science and Technology course for Cap Core requirements. CHEM 204 is an approved Quantitative/Analytical course for baccalaureate degrees. CHEM 204 is an approved Science course.<br/><strong>Reg Notes: </strong> In Person. This course is reserved for students in the BSc program but will open for general registration at a later date. If the section is full or restricted, place yourself on the waitlist using the Registrar's waitlist system or email chemwait@capilanou.ca and check your email frequently. If you are not registered when classes begin, attend the first class and let the instructor know you are still on the waitlist. During the first half of the course students will meet on Wed and Fri at 1-2:30. In the second half of the course, students will meet on Wed at 1-2:30pm and either Fri 1-2:30pm or Fri 2:30-4pm.
