This course stresses conversational skills and listening comprehension using situational dialogues. Students will increase their knowledge of grammatical structures and Chinese characters. They will also learn how to use a Chinese dictionary as a tool for further study. They will also learn how to use a Chinese dictionary as a tool for further study.<br/><strong>Note: </strong>CHIN 101 is an approved Culture and Creative Expression course for Cap Core requirements. This course is not appropriate for students with training or background in Chinese (Mandarin or other dialects, written or spoken).<br/><strong>Reg Notes: </strong> Students must register in both the lecture and a conversation section.
