We are living in the "age of human influence". Humans impact nearly every Earth system. Geography, which is the study of Earth's physical and human aspects, is the ideal discipline to study the human-environment nexus. In this course, students examine the Anthropocene era and investigate how social, economic, political, spatial, and biophysical processes shape society's relationship to nature, management of resources, and contemporary environmental change.
