This course is an introduction to current practice in student assessment, evaluation, and reporting. The course is designed to provide students with a critical understanding of the major underlying issues of traditional assessment approaches. It will facilitate students' shift from being assessed to being an assessor. Students will gain practical skills and techniques in diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment. Planning to meet educational outcomes with the understanding that assessment supports student learning will be a key course component. Students will be able to assess using the most appropriate modes, tools, and strategies to meet all learners' needs.
