During Elementary Practicum I, preservice teachers participate in a 6-week field experience in lower or upper elementary. During this experience, preservice teachers observe elementary classrooms, establish cooperative learning and team building relationships with supervising associate teachers, and begin the process of collaborating with associate teachers, administrators and university advisors to develop the competencies of a beginning teacher.
