During Secondary Practicum I, preservice teachers participate in a 6-week field experience in middle school and high school classrooms. During this experience, preservice teachers observe secondary classrooms, establish cooperative learning and team building relationships with supervising associate teachers, and begin the process of collaborating with associate teachers, administrators and university advisors to develop the competencies of a beginning teacher.
