Health Prom. & Assessment I
NRSG 2401 - Health Promotion and Assessment I This course focuses on health promotion and illness prevention of individuals across the lifespan. Using the population health promotion model as a framework, this course will allow students the opportunity to analyze health concepts with nursing application through selected exemplars. This course, in particular, will emphasize the assessment phase of the Clinical Judgement/Decision Making with theoretical and practical applications focusing on the comprehensive and systematic assessment of individuals. Students are introduced to health promotion principles and the utilization of these principles in planning and implementing health promotion plans for individuals. An additional three - hour nursing practice component per week for eight weeks is integrated into this course.
