PHIL 3115
Minds: Natural & Artificial
Lec 0 selected
The more artificial intelligence enters our lives, the more important it becomes to engage with it philosophically and ethically. AI research has close connections with philosophy because both share concepts of intelligence, action, consciousness, meaning and free will. In this course we will investigate these longstanding connections and the novel ethical challenges that AI raises, such as the impacts of automation and the regulation of self-driving cars.
