This course will provide an overview of all occupational hygiene issues within various industries. The course will review the science and art involved in anticipating, recognizing, evaluating and controlling workplace health and safety hazards. The content will include a review of toxicology, analytical methods, sampling methods, health effects of various agents, legislative basis for workplace exposures to hazardous agents, and methods of reducing or controlling these exposures. The course will use group work, projects and case studies to ensure understanding and applicability of material.
