Generalist SW Practice I
Lec 1 selected
Generalist Social Work Practice I examines the integration of theory and practical approaches as they relate to individuals within generalist social work practice. Students will explore critical skills such as client engagement, data collection, documentation, interviewing, assessment, and dealing with ethical dilemmas in practice. Special attention will be given to social work practice in a rural context, for Indigenous peoples, and for populations within marginalized communities. Integration of social work core values and ethics, critical thinking, and self-exploration are all fundamental components to be emphasized in this course.
