Generalist Social Work Practice II builds on the practice foundations for generalist social work outlined in Generalist Social Work Practice I (SRWK-4207). Students will continue their learning by examining a variety of skill-based approaches to further develop interpersonal communication, assessment, planning, implementation of interventions, evaluation, and termination of service within different practice settings with families and groups. This course aims to assist students with integrating the theoretical approaches and skills, case study analysis, and critical thinking, as they prepare for their final placement and graduation into professional practice.
