Field Practicum II

Lec 0 selected

Field Practicum II supports students' preparation for entry level professional social work positions. As the final field experience within the BSW program, students will complete a 450-hour practicum within a community organization/agency. This practicum will help build on the foundation developed in earlier generalist social work courses and assist in integrating knowledge, values, and skills as applied to individuals, families, groups, and communities. Students will have opportunities to apply generalist knowledge, critical thinking skills, values, and skills to practice in purposeful and ethical ways. A field practicum agreement will be developed by the student that addresses several learning objectives of the BSW program. Field Practicum II must be taken concurrently with Field Seminar (SWRK-4893).
