ASSC 1111
Academic Writing
Lec 01 and Tut T01 selected
This course provides a foundation in the theory and practice of academic writing. It is designed to prepare students to write analytic and research papers. Grammatical and rhetorical terms are addressed, and the course includes several assignments to hone writing skills from planning to revision. This class fulfills the Writing Requirement on its own, without taking additional credit hours, for both BA and BSc degree students. Students in other programs should check with an advisor. NOTE: ASSC 1111 is not a course for teaching English language skills and assumes prior English language fluency.
