Plant structure and function is explored in relation to growth, survival and adaptation to the environment. Molecular and genetic approaches integrate events at the cellular level with whole-plant processes. Topics include morphology, physiology, hormones and signaling, photomorphogenesis, roles of vegetative and reproductive organs, plant/environment interactions. Laboratories use live plants.
