Digital technologies are nowadays critical to new product development and business transformation. Digital Innovation refers to “the carrying out of new combinations of digital technologies and physical components to produce novel products, processes, and services” (Yoo et al., 2010)3. The concept of digital innovation entails not only ‘Digitization’ of physical products or traditional services but it also requires firms to revisit their use of corporate digital resources, such as IT (Information Technology) assets and capabilities.
