ECON 2300
Psychology and Economics
Lec 01 selected
Psychology & Economics (aka Behavioural Economics) is a growing subfield of economics that explores how psychological insights contribute to the understanding of economic behaviour. We examine how cognitive biases, heuristics, emotions, and social factors shape decision-making and market behaviour, contrasting traditional economic models with findings from psychology and behavioural economics. Applications will cover a wide range of fields, including labor and public economics.
