The main focus of this course is technical communications as used in the engineering profession, emphasizing soft skills necessary to be a successful engineer. This course will cover topics related to engineering document types and development, presentation and networking skills, business world and engineering connections, time management, problem solving and teamwork. Students will be introduced to engineering disciplines, the history of engineering, the design process, project scheduling and engineering ethics.
