This course will provide an introduction to the concept of quality improvement. Students will be exposed to the various methods to measure and assess quality in healthcare and be provided exposure with tools and techniques utilized in practice. A focus on safety and risk, patient satisfaction, team leadership as well as accreditation will be undertaken to ensure students gain practical understanding of the drivers of quality in Canadian healthcare.
