LARC 2003

Site Planning

Lec 01 and Lab B01 selected

Site planning is the art of integrating structures within landscapes. Site plans may be relatively simple designs for a home site or more complex proposals for residential communities, mixed-use developments or entire settlements. Site planning requires an understanding of architecture, engineering and city planning to create places that are more sustainable, habitable, meaningful and economical. This course explores the major issues considered in site planning through practical exercises, individual and team work.
