LEIS 4540

This senior-level specialization course applies therapeutic recreation models, concepts and competencies within the context of service delivery for people living with mental illness and/or addictions to support mental health promotion and recovery across the life course. The course explores mental health as a continuum, a holistic understanding of mental wellbeing, and the interrelationships among physical, social, and mental health. Experiential learning activities may include guest speakers, observations, case studies, simulations, and community service-learning.
