MECH 6347

This course provides a theoretical and experimental teaching of battery systems, including chemistry, safety, design, testing, performance assessment, and standardization. Students must have demonstrable pre-requisite understanding of lithium ion battery electrochemistry. The topics of this course focus battery format, architectures, thermal, management, and performance. A strong laboratory component is integrated such that an applied understanding of battery technology is developed.
