Doctoral theses must display original scholarly work, expressed in satisfactory literary form, consistent with the discipline concerned, and be of such value as to merit publication. The PhD program also acknowledges that different ways of knowing, and of sharing knowledge are valid and appropriate. With the approval of the supervisory committee and program director, alternate mechanisms for demonstrating knowledge will be considered provided they are consistent with an inclusive and rigorous approach to knowledge mobilization and can be assessed using a suitable evaluative framework. Students enrol in the PhD Program and Thesis for each term that it is taken.
