This course introduces students to all the major religious traditions originating in India (Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, and Sikhism), China (Daoism and Confucianism) and Japan (Shinto), including Chinese, Tibetan, and Japanese forms of Buddhism. Breadth and comprehensiveness are stressed, as well as a focus on the popular practices defining these traditions today.
