TYPR 1201

This course helps students further develop university-level communication and composition skills, along with study skills to aid in the transition to university. Topics include grammar, sentence and paragraph structure, and research skills. Students will also learn to evaluate their own work critically and systematically and develop confidence and competence in writing papers. More broadly, the course is designed to help students develop their study skills. This course covers many transferable skills that will enable students to achieve success in university and in their future careers. With a focus on successful communication, topics include research skills, writing skills, acknowledging sources and public speaking.
