This is the third in a stream of theory and practical clinical pathology courses designed to enable the student to perform, and cognitively grasp the principles of, essential tasks in the in-house veterinary practice laboratory. Task areas and topics included in this course are all prior topics, plus abnormal blood cell morphology as it pertains to anemia and inflammation, blood chemistry and serology tests, coagulation assays, large animal hematology assessments, ruminant and equine common endoparasites, and introductory cytology including collection and preparation, cell types, inflammation, and malignancy criteria.
