CHEM 6320

Tox Chem: Mol ID Elucidation

Lec 01 selected

This course explores the structural analysis of toxic substances through carious analytical techniques, both spectroscopic and chromatographic (e.g., NMR, IR, MS (MS/MS), ICP-MS, HPLC, GC). Students will learn to interpret and analyze real-world experimental data to identify and characterize toxicants relevant to human health and/or the environment. Emphasis is placed on understanding how molecular structure influences toxicity, metabolism, and regulatory classification. Real-world data interpretation exercises reinforce the application of analytical methods in toxicology. The course is experiential in nature but does not involve laboratory work.
