ENGG 4950
Remote Sensing & Spatial Data
This course provides an in-depth exploration of spatial analysis and remote sensing techniques. Students will develop skills in processing and interpreting spatial data. The course also covers the application of AI techniques to spatial data analysis and the use of drone technology for image capture and analysis. Practical applications are emphasized, including urban planning (e.g., land use/infrastructure development), disaster management (e.g., flood mapping and emergency response), agriculture (e.g., precision farming), and civil engineering (e.g., infrastructure monitoring). Industry-standard GIS and remote sensing software tools will be utilized. [Restriction(s): ENGG*3340; Non-BENG students may take a maximum of 4.00 ENGG credits][Department(s): College of Engineering]
