BUSM 5110

This course will help students develop the skills needed to build, lead and motivate high-performance teams as a leader. It will provide students with both a conceptual understanding, as well as experiential learning opportunities to explore the initial stages of team construction and ongoing team development. Students will examine issues of power and control in team functioning, learn how to facilitate team problem solving and decision making, evaluate team performance and individual contributions, and provide feedback on team behaviour. They will also have the opportunity to hone their skills working in teams through in-class exercises, simulations and exercises.
