COMM 3100

Students will examine the media from the perspective of a diverse audience, with a specific focus on issues such as race, religion, ability, sexuality, gender and culture. They will analyze representations of diversity in media content for fairness and balance. Students will critically reflect on how representation, power, and voice intersect in shaping the stories told in media. Note: This course may include mandatory field trips.
