Students will study business, marketing and professional skills that will help prepare them, as writers, to better navigate the publishing and cultural industries. They will learn about traditional and nontraditional literary markets, granting bodies, standard contracts, fair compensation, interviewing techniques, professional writing organizations and issues significant to working writers.
