HORT 1230

Students will study and apply principles for the establishment and maintenance of sustainable turf. They will select and apply fertilizers, compost materials, and other amendments. Students will develop cultural programs for low maintenance lawns, lawns in sustainable landscapes, and organic lawns. They will review and discuss current issues affecting the ecology, function, use, and maintenance of turf in modern society. Note: This is a Pathway Level 3 course option.
