Students registered in the B.Sc. (Honours), Major in Health Science program will work independently to design and propose an original research project that will be conducted in HSCI 4995 under the supervision of a KPU faculty advisor with expertise relating to the research topic. Students will be required to perform literature searches on the chosen topic, meet regularly with their advisor(s), develop and present a full research proposal for approval that will form the basis for their Honours Thesis in HSCI 4995. Students will also prepare a detailed empirical research plan, which may include conducting pilot work, obtaining necessary ethics approvals where relevant, and developing appropriate budgets and timelines for the proposed research. Note: This course is available to Honours Program students only.
