Students will explore leadership roles in nursing and health care within practice, education, research, and administration. They will explore ways to influence and create change for the promotion of societal health and for optimal workplace quality. Students will examine the culture, power, and politics of leadership within health and social organizations including Indigenous organizations. They will critique selected strategies for enhancing professional influence on the evolving Canadian health care system, and critically evaluate the role of the nurse as they transition into the graduate role.
