PSYC 4400

Through reading about qualitative methodology and the development of a qualitative project, students gain experience in conducting qualitative research. Students take into account issues around ways of knowing, ways of examining, and ways of reporting. This course reviews key methods of qualitative research, such as observations, interviews, and focus groups. Issues related to ethics, virtual approaches, and qualitative quality are also addressed. Students learn through lectures, demonstrations, small group work, and peer presentations.
