Health and Healing 5: Fundamentals of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nursing

Students will explore a theoretical framework for assessment and treatment of mental health issues experienced by children, adolescents and their families. They will integrate family systems, bio-psycho-social assessment, and a holistic model of health. Students will also explore cultural competency and cultural safety when working with children and adolescent clients.
