(3 Credits) 3 Lecture hours Principles and physiological mechanisms related to pharmacology are addressed. Emphasis is placed on a thorough understanding of major drug categories and current medications frequently used by the intensive care nurse for the acutely and critically ill patient. Pharmacological considerations are addressed in relation to management and prevention of complications.
