(3 credits) 3 hours lecture This class will explore the ways in which ethnographic research is designed, carried out, and analyzed. A variety of ethnographic methods will be discussed, with an emphasis on conducting participant-observation and on in-depth interviewing. Under the guidance of the instructor, students will design, conduct, and report on an ethnographic project of their own choosing.
