BIOL 3330
Quantitative Ecology
Lec 001 selected
(3 Credits) 3 Lecture hours This course explores the quantitative foundations of ecology through data, models, and uncertainty. In this course, students explore how ecological patterns and processes can be described and predicted using data and models, as well as quantitative approaches to understanding population growth and species interactions. There will be a strong emphasis on linking mathematical models to empirical data and the interpretation of these models in an ecological context, particularly as they apply to conservation and management.
