(3 Credits) 3 Lecture hours, Lecture, 1 Tutorial hour This course introduces techniques for obtaining data from databases, documents, the web, and other sources. Further topics include concepts of data quality and how to address quality issues. Data science process models, the critical role of data acquisition and labeling within the larger business process, and ethical considerations in collecting data are all emphasized.
