GEOL 5201

(3 Credits) 6 Laboratory hours An individual study program of experimental and/or theoretical research in geosciences focusing on the written and oral communication of scientific material. The subject of study is chosen by the student under the advice, and supervision, of a faculty member. Participants gather and interpret data with emphasis on the scientific method, the logical organization and development of ideas, and scientific writing. Participants are required to produce a written paper and give an oral presentation of their research in a formal seminar.
