(3 Credits) 13.5 Laboratory hours, 37.5 Clinical hours This clinical practicum, including simulation, provides previously trained Registered Nurses and nurses out of practice with nursing practice experience in caring for adult clients experiencing increasingly complex health/illness situations. This course is designed to provide integration of professional knowledge, clinical judgement, communication skills, and safe and ethical practice values within the context of the Canadian healthcare system. Emphasis is on furthering understanding of professional nursing practice and the registered nursing scope of practice to support previously trained Registered Nurses and nurses out of practice with nursing practice experience in making a successful transition to professional nursing in Canada.
