(3 Credits) 3 Blended, Lecture, Online hours (formerly LSCM 4402) Through the application of sound materials management principles, students will be equipped to develop and implement strategic inventory and warehousing plans. The course is broken into two components; inventory management and warehouse management. Inventory management topics include inventory functions, demand forecasting, aggregate and production planning, master production and materials requirements planning, and lean or JIT inventory management. Warehouse management topics include facility layout, retrieval technologies, performance benchmarking, safety, security, and risk management.
