(3 Credits) 3 Lecture hours, Lecture This course explores current events and issues in terms of the impact they may have on development. Topics covered will vary from one semester to the next; these might include the effects of epidemics/pandemics on psychosocial development, or the effects of the current economic climate on postsecondary students’ self-concept and motivation, or current research on disorders in childhood, or the causes and effects of cyberbullying, or the causes and effects of elder abuse, or topics regarding other events that are current in a given semester.
