(3 credits) 3 hours lecture This course examines a variety of types of religious experience (e.g. communal solidarity, moral development, conversion, mysticism, possession, trace ecstasy). Emphasis will be placed on different theoretical accounts of the origin, nature and/or significance of these experiences.
