(3 Credits) 3 Lecture hours This course takes a critical approach to examining health and healthcare access issues facing 2SLGBTQI+ communities. Students will problematize narratives of vulnerability and risk, and examine narratives of "health" itself. This course will offer an intersectional and transnational perspective to explore unique issues faced by 2SLGBTQI+ people historically and over the life course. Students will gain foundational knowledge and nuanced understanding of key issues and approaches to 2SLGBTQIA+ health by engaging with emerging scholarship and examples of collective movements for social change.
