An examination of the elementary school science curriculum and methods of teaching the content of the curriculum to the elementary child. A practical and conceptual introduction to the teaching and learning of science. Through diverse approaches, students will develop pedagogical and content knowledge in the context of the Nova Scotia curriculum. Students will explore issues and policies relevant to the contemporary elementary science classroom.
