A critical examination of theories and practices in classroom evaluation. The focus of the course is on current classroom practice and the estab- lishment of principles which guide "best" practice. Examples from students' own experience will be used, as well as cases contributed by the instructor. The relationship of classroom evaluation practice to larger system evaluation issues will be explored. Students will have an opportunity to undertake an in-depth exploration of a particular aspect of evaluation in the classroom.
