ED 2500 - Orientation to Music Education (ME) is an introduction to music education, bridging life as a musician and the development of a career as a musician-teacher. Topics include an overview of theoretical, philosophical, historical, sociological, cultural, psychological, methodological, and curricular foundations of music education as well as contemporary contexts and issues in music education. Emphasis is on research and writing in music education, technology applications, and the development of functional keyboard skills specific for music educators. AR: attendance required
