Introduction to Counselling is an introduction to the profession of counselling throughout the lifespan with specific emphasis on the definition and history of the profession, the characteristics and professional competencies of a counsellor, ethical issues and principles, theories and current issues. Topics also include an introduction to the nature of counselling and ways of developing effective interpersonal relationships within various educational contexts.
