Introduction to Teaching in French Immersion in the Primary and Elementary Grades is an overview of the development of French Immersion programs and an examination of current models for organization and instruction of French at the primary and elementary levels. This course will focus on methods and strategies for content-based teaching in immersion, integrating the formal aspects of French language teaching into content-based teaching and integrating culture, strategy training and language awareness into immersion curricula. Additional topics will include assessment of/for learning and effective technology integration in French Immersion.
